Tru by Hilton York

We had to stay at this hotel unexpectedly after our home flooded, and what could have been an overwhelming experience was made so much easier because of Ray at the front desk. She truly went above and beyond in caring for us during our stay. Ray was consistently warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind. She treated us with genuine compassion and made us feel less like displaced guests and more like valued family. Her professionalism and heart made all the difference during a very difficult time. We are so grateful for her and hope the hotel knows what an incredible asset she is!

I loved the updated/styled look of the hotel but overall, the rooms as well as the fitness center were pretty basic/small. Price and location was great. Fitness center was 24/7, and had what I needed for my regiment, but with one or two more guests in the space, felt too crowded. The lobby… GORGEOUS (see photos!). Really cool having the pool table and boardgame lounge; we really loved this! Breakfast was good. Coffee at breakfast was better than afternoon coffee (coffee and tea is out 24/7, and it’s LaVazza, which is tasty!). Staff at breakfast was excellent with ingredient checking for me behalf of my food allergies. They still had some options that I could eat, as well (which I don’t always find while traveling). Downside to this hotel are the rooms. While clean and very easy on the eyes, I found the space a bit crammed. No closets or dressers for clothing - luggage space was available but out in the open or tucked under the foot of the bed (note: there was dedicated space for that but who wants to drag their bags off the floor to get into their suitcase when there’s nowhere to store your clothes beside a couple of hangers…?). Bathroom was clean. The amenities of the soaps/shampoos and such had no ingredients listed on the containers so they were avoided completely.

This is a very clean and friendly hotel. The lobby is clean and well stocked with snacks info and drinks, including complimentary hot beverages. The staff is great. We didn't stay for breakfast but it looked to have a lot of options. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend.

I chose Tru as my hotel accommodation for my wedding in April and it was a great choice! I loved their pet-friendly policy, and their closeness to my venue. Caroline, who was in charge of my room block, was in constant communication with me! She was very responsive, friendly, helpful and professional!! Our rooms were very clean and spacious, and the breakfast downstairs was very enjoyable and ended up being a perfect impromptu spot for a post-wedding brunch with our guests who stayed overnight! There were a couple issues with our rooms not being ready when we arrived and I did get over-charged, but Caroline was very quick to fix these issues! Overall, the excellent customer service provided by Caroline and her staff and the cleanliness and comfort of our rooms made my wedding weekend very smooth and enjoyable! I would definitely recommend Tru by Hilton if you need any sort of accommodation in the future (especially if you're traveling with a pet)!

What a wonderful stay! Clean rooms! Excellent staff! So friendly and accommodating. Felt at home the moment we arrived. Skylar checked us in and we saw his friendly face and smile as we checked out. He wished us safe travels and I know when we come back next year…we have a place we love to stay! Kelly in the cafe took great care of us at breakfast and also was so friendly and wished us a great trip home. THANK YOU!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice clean place to stay. There is a Cheddars restaurant within walking distance. Normal breakfast in the morning. The staff was very polite. There is also a gas station close by.

Very clean hotel. Hotel had a pool table in lobby area for those who wanted to play. The location was easy to get to and Sheetz is located close to hotel and restaurant Cheddars is also in front of hotel.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the water pressure was decent. As someone who travels for work, I stay in a lot of hotels and those are my top three big things to check off my list. I wasn't a fan of the desk set-up in the room - it was a shallow desk on wheels that you had to pull out from under the tv. This was all in approx. a 3 foot wide space between the tv and the end of the bed. My overall stay was good - staff was wonderful - but the room was small.
